Cabinet Scrapers are one of the handiest tools in the workshop allowing you to remove milling marks and other unwanted surface conditions from your project quickly and easily. 

A scraper is used to smooth the surface of wood. It works similar to a planer, by cutting off protruding wood fibers. It is used for smoothing and surface treatment as well as for the outer shape.

With a high carbon steel body they burnish well and hold an edge nicely.
