The Luban Scraper Plane is the perfect tool for final hand finishing of large surfaces including veneers. Inspired by the original Stanley 112 scraper plane, this plane might be used where a traditional smoothing plane isn't giving the desired result.
The blade is ground at 45 degrees with a hook burnished in to produce a hook - light mallet taps can be used for fine adjustment to produce very fine shavings.
